Kirkley Hall to host clothes swap shop
A clothes shopping event is being held at Kirkley Hall near Ponteland next month.
Jenny B's Style and Sparkle Swap Shop will come to Kirkley on June 12, where guests can trade their unwanted clothes and accessories with other guests.
Jenny Bersin (pictured) - who runs the Stocksfield-based business - will also give a talk on "Creating Style with Sparkle".
She said: "Most of us wear just 20% of our wardrobe, 80% of the time. Half the things in people's wardrobes don't actually suit them, yet they often find it difficult to let go of clothes due to emotional ties.
"These events are getting more and more popular in the current economic climate, with people looking for new ways to make their money stretch further. The swap shops are an ideal way to refresh your wardrobe without the hefty price tag."
Guests are asked to bring along a maximum of three items of clothing, accessories or shoes.
All items should be freshly laundered and in good condition, and clearly marked with the size.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 6.30pm, cost £20, which includes a drink and buffet on arrival. To book a place, contact the operations team at Kirkley Hall by emailing enquiries@kirkleyhall.co.uk or calling (01670) 841235.
